If I teach my son anything, it will be this.

Ladies and Gentlemen. . . Ryan Audus
What's this all about???
On a peaceful, quiet Saturday morning, Ryan and I walked into Luke's bedroom to discover this. . . Naked Lukie on Louise's bed. We have been working with him on dressing/undressing, and now we are wondering if this was a good idea. We might have a nudist on our hands. Louise was also perplexed, but as long as she gets two meals a day, she puts up with us.

When You're Tired, You're Tired
This is one tired kid. Not sure what we were up to that day, but whatever it was, it sure took it out of Luke. I'm guessing it was a combination of playing Thomas the Train and learning to use the potty. The picture also prove that the kid never stops moving.
Unfortunately, we can't say that baby Mae is quite as sound of a sleeper. Jenny has had her hands full with the little one kicking and moving day and night. We're guessing she'll be as active as her bigger brother.

He's Having a Baby!
Since we found out we were pregnant with baby Mae, Luke has insisted that he also has a baby in his tummy. Ironically enough, the baby's name is also Mae. From time-to-time, Luke will pull his shirt up, show you his belly, and ask you to feel the baby move. What makes it even funnier is he will copy Jenny and press your hand down on his stomach so you can feel his baby move. This move is shown in the photo above.
In other news, we'd like to apologize for our lack of posts lately. Our home laptop has been a little out of whack the last week or so. Long story.

A Christmas Story

What a difference a year makes. The photo of Luke crying was from last Christmas. He was a bit tired and not in the mood to have his photo taken. He was in much higher spirits this Christmas.
Needless to say, Luke made out like a bandit. He got lots of new Thomas the Train toys, including a motorized version that's set up in his room and the T-Rex set that goes with his wooden set in the basement. Santa brought him a Thomas the Train tent that is a big hit with everyone, especially Louise.
Even Baby Mae got a few gifts this year. Grandma A started Mae's wardrobe collection with a handful of new outfits and socks. Mae is going to be one spoiled little girl. We're very excited for next Christmas when Mae is an active participant.

Daddy's Little Girl
Word has been out that we're expecting a girl for more than a couple of weeks. Unfortunately, it's taken a bit of time to get the sonogram photos scanned and available for viewing over the web (thanks, Courtney). There is a small series of images available at http://www.flickr.com/photos/lukeandmae/, including the photographic proof Mae is a girl. We've also been able to feel little Mae move around in mommy's tummy. Pretty exciting to reach another milestone in Jenny's pregnancy.
In other news this week, Luke has finally taken the plunge and did a number 2 on the big boy potty. It took us by complete surprise. Needless to say, we were very proud, and Luke was excited to get Gordon as a reward.
